Arrival NJP Railway Station / SLG / IXB Bagdogra Airport-Gangtok
After being received at IXB/NJP/Siliguri, proceed to Gangtok (5,410 ft) which is 120 km away and takes 4.5 hours approximately.After reaching Gangtok, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Go for Gangtok full day sightseeing covering Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point,Gunjang Monastery Handicraft, Flower Show, Ropeway, Tibet logy, Chorten Stupa, Banjhakri Water Falls. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

After early breakfast, start for a full day excursion to Tsomgo lake (12,400ft) and New Baba Mandir (13,200ft). Please carry any valid Govt Photo ID proof of all travellers. School IDs/Birth certificate required for children. Please note Nathula pass (Indo Chinese border) situated at 14,500 ft. is an optional sightseeing point, which is not a part of this package. Special Permit is required for Nathula, is done on extra cost paid directly on the spot and is totally dependent in the issuance of permit by the Sikkim tourism Dept. It is closed for visitors on Mondays. There will be extra charges too. Permits may be granted in clubbing basis.

Is Gangtok expensive to visit?
No, Gangtok is not very expensive. Hotels, food, and transport are quite affordable compared to other hill stations. Only places like Nathula Pass need extra permits and charges.
The best way is: First reach NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, drive to Gangtok (4-5 hours journey), stay overnight, visit Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir next day, do city sightseeing on third day, and then return. We handle everything from pickup to hotel stay for your smooth trip.
Best time is March to June (spring-summer) and September to December (autumn-winter). Weather is very pleasant for sightseeing. Monsoon season (July-August) is better to avoid due to heavy rain.
There is no entry fee for visiting Gangtok city. But some sightseeing points like the Ropeway or museums have small entry charges, usually ₹50 to ₹150 per person.
Yes, 4 days is more than enough to enjoy Gangtok properly. You can visit Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, do full city sightseeing, and even add an optional trip like Nathula Pass (if permits are available). You’ll have time to explore local markets and enjoy leisure time too.
Both Darjeeling and Gangtok are almost similar in cost for hotels, food, and taxis. But if you compare, Darjeeling can be slightly cheaper in hotel options. Gangtok charges extra for permits for some places like Nathula Pass, so it can be a little costlier if you add those trips.
