Arrival & Journey to Gangtok – River Valleys & Himalayan Views
NJP / IXB/Siliguri to Gangtok Your journey to Gangtok becomes a scenic road expedition through the Teesta River valley. Optional white water rafting at Melli (extra cost, subject to timing & flow conditions). Explore MG Marg on foot, try some local street food, or visit a nearby monastery on a short evening hike. Overnight in Gangtok.
Gangtok to Changu Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion After breakfast you will be visiting Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft) One of Sikkim’s most iconic glacial lakes, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Ride a yak along the frozen lake. Visit the New Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a legendary shrine dedicated to an Indian army soldier. . Experience thin-air conditions near Baba Mandir.
Gangtok to Lachung Transfer This is no ordinary road trip—drive through rugged Himalayan terrain, cascading waterfalls like Bhim Nala & Amitabh Bachchan Falls, and deep gorges. Seven Short nature walks at scenic spots like Sisters Waterfall and Singhik View Point. Engage with local villagers en route for a peek into Sikkimese rural life. Overnight in a mountain lodge or homestay in Lachung for an immersive feel
Lachung to Gangtok Transfer via Yumthang Valley excursion Lachung → Yumthang Valley (Optional Hike) → Gangtok. Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley, famous as the Valley of Flowers. Mini hike to hidden trails near the valley or hot springs (time & weather permitting). Travel back to Gangtok via dramatic mountain scenery. Overnight in Gangtok.
Gangtok to IXB/NJP/Siliguri Optional early morning paragliding over Gangtok for an aerial farewell view (additional cost, depends on weather). En route, stop by a local tea garden near Siliguri for a quick cultural experience. Departure with a heart full of adventure!
