Arrival NJP Railway Station / SLG / IXB Bagdogra Airport-Gangtok
After being received at IXB/NJP/Siliguri, proceed to Gangtok (5,410 ft) which is 120 km away and takes 4.5 hours approximately.After reaching Gangtok, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.
After breakfast pick up from hotel & drive to Lachen (8,838 ft./120 km/6 Hours approximately). Stop for tea in between. Arrive at Lachen by evening. Overnight stay
Early Morning drive from Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 ft./3 hours drive). Return back to hotel for lunch & drive to Lachung (8,910 ft /2 hours drive) Arrive Lachung by evening. Overnight stay
After breakfast start for Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft. known as Valley of Flowers). On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to hotel for lunch. Overnight stay at Lachung. Zero point (Yumesamdong) 16,000 ft is not included in the package and is directly payable on the spot, if done.
After breakfast, transfer to Gangtok. Check in at the hotel and overnight stay.
Proceed from Gangtok to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/NJP (Railway Station)/Siliguri (for onward journey (120 KM drive/4.5 Hours drive approx).

How is the road journey from Gangtok to Lachung and Yumthang?
The journey is long and a bit bumpy in some stretches, but the scenic beauty along the way makes it totally worth it. We stop for tea and refreshment breaks to make the ride more comfortable.
Yes, it is, but since Lachung and Yumthang are in high-altitude areas, people with breathing issues or senior citizens should consult a doctor before traveling. We also advise carrying warm clothes and essential medicines.
The best time to visit is from March to May for flowers, and from October to December for snow views. Winters can get very cold, so proper clothing is a must if you’re visiting between November and February.
If you’re visiting between late December and February, there’s a good chance of seeing snowfall in Lachung and Yumthang. The rest of the year offers clear mountain views and pleasant weather.
Four to five days is ideal to explore North Sikkim along with some time in Gangtok. This package is perfectly planned for a comfortable experience without rushing.
You should carry warm woollen clothes, jackets, gloves, socks, and comfortable shoes. Even during summer, the mountains remain cool. For winter trips, you must pack heavy winterwear.
